Discovery Senior Living is hiring an SEO Specialist to join or marketing team in Bonita Springs, FL.

The SEO Specialist is responsible for developing Search Engine Optimization strategies for all our senior living communities and executing them effectively to generate leads. This role collaborates with various members of the Marketing Department and other team personnel on individual community accounts. Work with agency partners on multiple community accounts with a variety of locations and verticals to hit key KPIs. Oversee the implementation and execution of strategies keeping key stakeholders informed of progress.

To perform optimally in this role, you must possess a deep understanding of all principles associated with SEO and monitor industry trends, staying updated on best practices across all digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in techniques and strategies but can think strategically and play a role in informing best approach to integrated campaigns that blend organic search and content marketing. The right candidate will be able to multitask across diverse environments, communicate with key stakeholders and internal team members, and be dynamic enough to learn about new technologies and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a clear understanding of the community’s organic search objectives and expectations; this involves collaborating with cross-functional team members and agency partners to ensure that channel strategies align with business goals.
  • Implement in-depth SEO analysis of community websites, including sitemap recommendations (structure, page names, redirects, etc.), topical authority content analysis, and domain analysis/recommendations.
  • Work with the Web Development Team to inform on-site optimization, checking and improving internal link structure and fixing potential indexation issues.
  • Assist with strategic development for SEO campaigns during acquisition, starting from kick-off and extending through post-launch and analysis stages.
  • Oversee Google Search Console and Google Analytics setup by agency partners.
  • Communicate progress, roadblocks, and opportunities to leadership.
  • Develop and Implement SEO Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive SEO plans to improve organic search rankings and drive cost-effective traffic.

Conduct Keyword Research : Identify high-value, low-competition keywords to enhance website visibility and reduce reliance on paid search.

Optimize On-Page and Off-Page SEO : Ensure website content, meta tags, and backlinks are optimized for search engines to improve organic rankings.

Perform Technical SEO Audits : Regularly audit the website for technical issues and implement fixes to enhance search engine crawlability and indexing.

Analyze SEO Performance : Use analytics tools to monitor SEO performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.

Create High-Quality Content : Work with Digital Content Team to develop and optimize content that aligns with SEO best practices and attracts organic traffic.

Stay Updated on SEO Trends : Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business preferred with a minimum of 5 years of proven digital marketing (SEO), demand generation and/or communications experience.
  • Experience in demand generation with experience in senior living a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Capacity to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to follow and take directions and feedback.
  • Ability to build relationships and articulate ideas well with a keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate.
  • Expertise in technical SEO, keyword research, content strategy, and analytics.
  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs (or SEMrush), Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of structured data, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience analyzing data and making data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
