JOB SUMMARY

The SEO Strategist will be instrumental in driving organic traffic, enhancing search engine visibility, and optimizing overall web performance for Creative Planning, LLC’s digital properties. This role will involve developing and executing data-driven SEO plans, collaborating across departments to ensure alignment to our overall marketing and brand strategy, and staying current with best practices and trends to deliver measurable results.

JOB DUTIES

  • Own Organic Traffic Growth: Be accountable for achieving measurable organic traffic growth across Mass Affluent, High Net Worth (HNW), and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) segments, ensuring alignment with business KPIs and competitive benchmarks.
  • Drive SEO-Driven Lead Generation: Take responsibility for increasing the number of qualified leads generated through organic search by optimizing content, keywords, and technical SEO elements.
  • Ensure Competitive Search Visibility: Guarantee that CreativePlanning.com consistently ranks in the top search results for high-priority target keywords, outperforming competitors.
  • Deliver High-Quality Content Optimization: Be accountable for the optimization of all website content to ensure it resonates with target audiences and meets SEO best practices while actively driving engagement and conversions.
  • Improve Domain Authority and Backlink Profile: Own the strategy and execution of link-building efforts to improve domain authority by acquiring high-quality backlinks and leveraging untapped link opportunities.
  • Enhance User Experience for Conversions: Be responsible for identifying and resolving UX-related issues that impede conversions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey across desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Future-Proof SEO Strategy: Take ownership of adapting the SEO strategy to changes in search algorithms and emerging trends, such as AI chatbots, ensuring sustained performance and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor and Report Performance Metrics: Take accountability for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key SEO metrics (e.g., organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion rates) with actionable insights for continuous improvement.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in SEO strategy development and execution, with a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth and improving search engine rankings. (Experience in the financial services or wealth management sector is a strong advantage)
  • Expertise in using SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, SimilarWeb, and Google Analytics to gather data, analyze performance, and create actionable strategies.
  • Experience working with content teams to plan, create, and optimize content tailored to specific audience segments, with a focus on relevance, depth, and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform competitive analysis, evaluating domain authority, backlink profiles, content strategies, and organic visibility against top competitors like Fisher Investments and others.
  • Familiarity with strategies to secure high-quality backlinks and improve earned media presence, including press and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Experience collaborating with UX teams to enhance website usability and conversion rates, with a focus on addressing pain points and improving the customer journey.
