Stock Plan Administrator Location Grand Rapids, MI : UFP is constantly changing, growing and advancing. Job Summary The Stock Plan Administrator will oversee administers equity and other long-term incentive programs, including, restricted stock grants, performance stock units, and employee stock purchase plan. Assists with Section 16 reporting. Other areas of responsibility include Proxy Statement compensation tables and narratives, policy compliance, equity and expense forecasting and vendor management (captive broker, transfer agent). Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management. Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administering all aspects of the company's stock plans, including grants, exercises, vesting, forfeitures, and cancellations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock plan transactions and ensuring compliance with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicating with employees, brokers, transfer agents, and other external parties regarding stock plan matters.
  • Preparing and filing Section 16 reports and other SEC filings related to stock plan activity.
  • Providing support for equity-related audits, valuations, and reconciliations.
  • Developing and updating stock plan policies, procedures, and education materials.
  • Analyzing and reporting on stock plan data and trends.
  • Researching and implementing best practices and new developments in stock plan administration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications
    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant, equivalent experience.
    • Preferred three years of experience in stock plan administration, publicly traded company experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of equity compensation principles, tax rules, accounting standards, and SEC regulations.
    • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and stock plan software.
    • A keen attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • A proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
    • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speaking
    • Strong communication skills, written and oral
    • Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
    • Ability to work in an environment of growth and continuous improvement
    • Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, and to meet deadlines
    • Ability to be mobile in the work environment, and travel as required.
    • Ability to pass a drug test
    • Highly empathetic to employee issues while enforcing sound business principles
    • Discretion in handling confidential information
