About the Company - Leading pharma company is seeking a VP of Data Science, AI and Advanced Analytics that will oversee all Analytics and build a COE and drive the use of complex analytics and AI to answer key commercial marketing business questions, support HCP lead generation and help sales. Must have experience creating Data Science focused use cases and deep leadership with ability to persuade. Location: Onsite in Cambridge, MA

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data-driven strategies within the pharmaceutical sector, focusing on commercial applications, including omnichannel marketing decision engines, patient services and sales
• Lead and oversee the Generative AI Council, ensuring adherence to ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment
• Manage and develop multiple AI and analytical products, driving innovation and operational efficiency within the Pharma and Oncology sectors
• Provide technical leadership and frame, deliver, and deploy full-scale AI initiatives
• Foster joint and interactive relationships with internal stakeholders, enhancing talent and innovation
• Build and manage high-performing teams of data scientists, AI engineers, and software engineers to execute large-scale transformative projects
• Oversee the productization of analytical solutions, enhancing their practical application and market impact
• Lead the development and implementation of omnichannel marketing decision engines, predictive/descriptive models, and LLMs/Generative AI solutions to drive data-driven marketing strategies and innovations
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute AI-driven marketing campaigns that enhance customer engagement and optimize marketing spend
• Develop and manage AI-driven tools to analyze customer behavior and preferences, enabling personalized marketing approaches and improved customer experiences
• Implement advanced analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Quant degree
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, transformational initiatives leveraging AI & ML technologies in the pharmaceutical industry AND other industries
• Persuasive behavior
• Experience developing AI Use Cases in commercial pharma
• Strong background in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics, with a focus on commercial applications
• MMM
• Effective communicator and influencer, capable of articulating vision and building strategic partnerships
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation
