About Us:

Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for efficiency and leadership? Join our partnered client's team as a Shipping Manager and take charge of coordinating and streamlining our shipping and receiving operations.

Position Overview:

The Shipping Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations, managing logistics partners, ensuring inventory accuracy, and leading a team to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time. This role is critical to maintaining service excellence and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all shipping and receiving operations, including domestic and international shipments
• Manage carrier relationships and negotiate rates to optimize cost and delivery times
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and compliance with all regulations
• Lead and supervise the warehouse team, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure timely fulfillment
• Implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs
• Track key metrics and prepare regular performance reports
• Manage returns, damage claims, and customer service-related shipping issues
• Actively supports the team by participating in hands-on shipping and receiving tasks when needed, demonstrating a leadership style that is engaged and collaborative rather than solely supervisory.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management (preferably in merchandising, retail, or e-commerce)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong knowledge of shipping systems, inventory software, and carrier platforms (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs + as needed
• Forklift certification is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

💰 Salary: $60,000-$70,000yr (based on experience)

🌴 PTO: 3 weeks + major holidays
