Job Description

Position Title:  Full-Stack Developer

Location:  Havre de Grace, MD; Onsite 60%; occasional local travel to visit customer

Reports To:  Program Manager / Team Lead

Job Type:  Full-time

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and hold a Secret Security clearance. A Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance is highly preferred.

Summary:

We're seeking a driven, go-getter of a full-stack developer to join our defense integration team. This isn't just about writing code—it's about slinging it with purpose, passion, and precision. You'll be a key player, working seamlessly with our team to design, build, and maintain robust software solutions that are critical to national security. If you're ready to tackle complex challenges and make a real impact on both the front end and back end, this is the role for you.

The right person for this role will be able to provide a link to a code repository showing personal projects. If you do not have a GitHub or similar repo where you tinker with projects at home, this position is not the right fit! 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and secure software applications from end-to-end, covering both front-end and back-end components.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Go for the back end, implementing APIs , business logic, and database interactions.
  • Build intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React , Vue , Angular ) and web technologies ( HTML , CSS , JavaScript ).
  • Integrate software systems with defense-specific hardware and protocols, ensuring seamless data flow and communication.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, product managers, and other developers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality products.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the entire stack, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack and Go development, continuously improving our development processes and product capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established standards.

Qualifications

Education:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as a full-stack developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing both front-end and back-end projects.

Skills:

  • Expert proficiency in the Go programming language and a deep understanding of its concurrency model, standard library, and ecosystem.
  • Solid experience with D ocker and containerization technologies.
  • Familiarity with database systems ( relational and/or NoSQL ) such as PostgreSQL , MySQL , MongoDB , or others.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git .
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $150,000 to $190,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
