Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist manages the Flores Mariae Gift Shop's online presence through product pages, website marketing, social media, and email. Working on site, this role ensures all digital content reflects the Shrine's mission, beauty, and hospitality. Key Responsibilities E-Commerce and Website Content Build, update, and maintain product pages on the Flores Mariae Shopify website Write clear and engaging product descriptions and organize products into collections Update homepage features, banners, featured products, and seasonal promotions Ensure accuracy and consistency in pricing, images, and product information Support basic website marketing and merchandising efforts Social Media Marketing Create and manage social media content to promote products, feast days, seasons, and Gift Shop initiatives Build and maintain a consistent posting schedule across selected platforms Support campaigns that connect website, email, and social media efforts Monitor engagement and adjust content as needed Email Marketing Write and send marketing emails including newsletters, product highlights, and seasonal promotions Support coordinated email campaigns aligned with the Shrine's calendar Maintain a respectful and mission appropriate email cadence Content and Brand Consistency Ensure all digital content reflects the Shrine's voice, mission, and visual standards Coordinate with the Communications Department on messaging and campaign themes Support product photography and basic image editing as needed Customer and Operational Support Assist with basic online customer inquiries related to orders and product information Support Gift Shop staff with simple Shopify or POS related issues when needed Collaborate with Gift Shop management on product launches and seasonal resets Qualifications and Experience Experience building and maintaining product pages on Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform Experience managing social media accounts for a business, organization, or brand Experience writing marketing emails and web content Strong writing skills with attention to clarity and tone Familiarity with basic website and email marketing and visual presentation Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a retail environment Comfort learning new tools and systems as needed Mission Fit Appreciation for the Catholic faith and the mission of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe Ability to communicate with reverence and professionalism in a faith based setting Desire to support evangelization through beauty, hospitality, and clear communication Working Conditions Work takes place primarily on site at the Flores Mariae Gift Shop Regular use of computers, cameras, and POS systems Occasional lifting and movement of retail inventory
