🚀 We're Hiring: Electronic Technician – R&D Downhole Tools (Oil & Gas)

📍  Location: Katy, TX | 🕒  Full-Time | 🔧  Industry: Oil & Gas – R&D Electronics

Are you passionate about electronics and eager to work on cutting-edge downhole tools for the energy industry? We're looking for a skilled  Electronic Technician to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of high-reliability systems designed for extreme downhole environments.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

• Perform  precision soldering , crimping, and cable assembly of complex electronic circuits.
• Wire and assemble  electronic control panels and components to exact specifications.
• Use  oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot circuits.
• Interpret  technical schematics and wiring diagrams to support builds and repairs.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to support prototype testing, product validation, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure  compliance with industry standards (IPC, ISO, etc.).
• Assist in documentation and reporting for root cause analysis and technical evaluations.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in electronic assembly, soldering, and wiring.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and  proficiency with diagnostic tools (oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.).
• Solid understanding of  electronic panel wiring and high-reliability standards.
• Ability to read and interpret  technical schematics and mechanical drawings .
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
• Spanish language proficiency is a strong plus – many of our team members and documentation are bilingual.
• Bonus: Experience in  Oil & Gas, aerospace , or rugged electronics is a big advantage.

🛠️ Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with  IPC-A-610/620 standards .
• Experience with electronics for  harsh environments (thermal, vibration, pressure).
• Exposure to  ESD-safe workstations and best practices.
