Job Title: Director of Computational Chemistry

Delighted to be partnering with a Pharma company leveraging AI and computational techniques to accelerate small molecule drug discovery. Seeking an experienced leader to drive computational chemistry innovations and enhance drug development strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute computational chemistry strategies integrating AI/ML techniques
• Lead the application of molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and free energy calculations for ligand optimization.
• Collaborate with medicinal chemists, biologists, and ML researchers to enhance drug discovery efforts.
• Develop novel computational methods and stay updated on emerging techniques.
• Communicate findings and strategies to leadership and external stakeholders.
• Build and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, Biophysics, or related field.
• 7+ years of industry experience in computational chemistry within biotech or pharma.
• Proven leadership experience in mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.
• Expertise in molecular dynamics, quantum chemistry, and free energy methods.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency
• Experience applying ML techniques to molecular modeling challenges.
