Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Lead Salesforce Developer to oversee the development and customization of Salesforce platforms. The ideal candidate will lead technical development efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure the delivery of scalable solutions, and provide technical guidance to junior developers. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, development best practices, and the ability to translate business requirements into high-quality solutions.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX / Pittsburgh, PA is $130k - $140k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Architect scalable and efficient Salesforce applications, ensuring adherence to Salesforce best practices and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
  • Manage Salesforce integrations with external systems via APIs, middleware, and other techniques.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all Salesforce implementations.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
  • Stay current with Salesforce innovations, tools, and industry trends to recommend improvements.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and configurations.
  • Contribute to project planning, estimation, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) as a Salesforce Developer and 3+ years as a Lead/or Architect.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or System Architect are highly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools like MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security, sharing, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Workflow Rules).
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing a team or leading technical projects.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce DX, DevOps tools, and continuous integration practices.
  • Understanding of broader enterprise architecture and cloud solutions.
  • Background in JavaScript, HTML, CSS for Lightning Web Components development.
