SUMMARY

The Multimedia Designer plays a pivotal role in developing best-in-class brand solutions through video editing, motion graphics, and audio editing/mixing. This role requires a dynamic creative with a keen sense of storytelling, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of how multimedia design enhances brand communication.

You will be responsible for conceptualizing, editing, and refining multimedia content that meets brand standards and business goals while incorporating AI-driven tools and workflows. You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving creative space, balancing high-level strategic thinking with hands-on craftsmanship.

Key Outcome: Deliver High-Quality Multimedia Content That Elevates Brand Communication

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, edit, and finalize video, motion graphics, and audio projects for various digital platforms.
  • Ensure consistency in storytelling, visual identity, and brand messaging across all multimedia assets.
  • Implement AI-powered tools to enhance workflows, improve efficiency, and push creative boundaries.
  • Adapt multimedia content for different channels, including social media, paid media, and internal communications.

Key Outcome: Operate as a Strategic Creative Partner Within Cross-Functional Teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing, business development, and account teams to develop compelling multimedia assets that support campaigns.
  • Translate business objectives into engaging, visually compelling content that drives audience engagement and action.
  • Provide strategic input on multimedia best practices, emerging trends, and platform-specific content optimization.
  • Maintain an agile mindset, quickly pivoting between projects while maintaining creative excellence.

Key Outcome: Innovate and Elevate Our Multimedia Production Capabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, software updates, and new technologies to continuously improve creative output.
  • Advocate for new production techniques, AI-powered creative solutions, and process efficiencies.
  • Develop and document best practices for video, motion graphics, and audio production to ensure consistency and scalability.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED (Must-Haves):

  • 2-4 years of experience in video editing, motion design, and/or audio editing.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video, motion, and audio work.
  • Ability to craft compelling narratives through video and sound design.
  • Fluency in AI tools and automation for creative workflows (e.g., OpenAi, Adobe Sensei, Runway, Descript, ElevenLabs, MidJourney, etc.).
  • A problem-solver’s mindset—able to troubleshoot technical challenges and refine creative output efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present creative concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of full production life cycle, from pre to post production.

PREFERRED (Nice-to-Haves):

  • Experience with 3D motion graphics tools (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.).
  • Knowledge of interactive media and emerging technologies in multimedia production.
  • Background in brand marketing, advertising, or digital content strategy.
  • Familiarity with audio mixing, sound design, and voiceover production.
  • Interactive, website, or product design or development background

COMPENSATION

Butler/Till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $44,000 - $62,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.

This is just one component of Butler/Till’s total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
