Job Description

Sunland Asphalt, one of the fastest growing construction companies in the southwest, is hiring a SharePoint Developer based at our Corporate Headquarters. Become a key player in an aggressive and dynamic team and work alongside many of the most experienced and successful people in the industry.

The SharePoint Developer is responsible for configuring and customizing SharePoint Online systems according to organizations specifications. This position will develop scalable online web applications, write, and modify code, build, and modify forms, reports, and workflows. Developer will help to improve business processes, workflows, and user experience to accomplish company strategic goals, efficiencies, and procedures; discover & define needs, requirements & specifications; assist with data integration, support, maintenance, version control, testing, and upgrades; provide support and governance to the SharePoint site and related Azure, SQL, and PowerApps infrastructure; maintain and update, intranet, and corporate websites; customize the site to enhance and secure the organizations business, and help to document, test, and implement solutions, processes and support training users and initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must be an advocate of safety and follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a cloud-based SharePoint site, including development and maintenance of related reports, forms, lists and workflows.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of cloud and on-prem connections, including SQL, PowerApps, and other Azure/O365 methods.
  • Developer will also be assisting with SQL queries, reports, and integrations with other applications.
  • Maintain, update, supporting intranet and corporate websites.
  • Analyzing of business operations and systems to determine and improve application and user efficiency.
  • Using & developing software applications consistent with business processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of managing middleware, API’s, ETL’s, data integration.
  • Help to troubleshoot and solve issues with business software, data, and integration.
  • Assist with training offices, departments and end users with processes, processes, and use of systems.
  • Help create and document version change control and testing processes.
  • Managing data integrity and effectiveness is vital to supporting the goals and growth of the business.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information safe, secured & confidential.
  • Strong communication skills, team collaboration, mentoring.
  • Work closely with other IT Team members, other IT functional stacks and corporate departments, divisions, and managers.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 50 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.
  • May be required to work on a project site and if so, would be exposed to all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Employee might be exposed to various chemicals, vapors, pollutants, virus or other air-borne pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines and dust/debris.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

  • Must be willing to travel to any, and all company locations without exception (including staying away from home if necessary.) Percent of travel 5%

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • A Bachelor’s or Graduates degree in Computer Science or business information systems or relevant experience.
  • Five plus year's industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience with SharePoint Online, Azure, O365, MS-SQL, and building reports/forms. SharePoint on-prem experience helpful.
  • Knowledge and experience preferred with; C#, .Net Framework, UI/UX Design, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Power BI/App, SQL Server.
  • Experienced with middleware, data management and integration.
  • Knowledge and experience of SaaS, SQL, managing of web applications, Azure, AWS.
  • Construction related background is preferred.
  • Helpful, if experienced with ERP(Vista by Viewpoint/Trimble), B2W Estimating and Ops by Trimble, Salesforce CRM, Boomi, middleware, Planful, Web and mobile solutions and integration.
  • Any related Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Operates successfully and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.
  • On premise and cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Priority customer support (internal/external).
  • Able to work individually, part of a team and support other corporate departments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively supporting companywide offices and end users.
  • Certifications in networking, MS SQL, MS Building Applications and Solutions, Azure, helpful.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS

  • A valid driver's license and a clean motor-vehicle record preferred.
  • Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check is required.
