Job Description
Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Drywall Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in drywall estimation and will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and resources related to drywall, framing, and wall systems. This role is crucial for ensuring project profitability and efficiency from the bidding stage through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and key requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, plaster, lath, and framing projects.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop competitive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to clarify project details and requirements.
- Maintain a database of costs and vendor information to inform future estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate project costs during implementation to ensure budget adherence.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drywall estimation or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of drywall, plaster, lath, and wall systems.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
