Job Title: Automation Technician

Location: North Carolina (Onsite)

Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Automation Technician to support and maintain automated manufacturing equipment and systems. This role requires a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on troubleshooting and programming industrial control systems. Ideal candidates will have experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA interfaces.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical diagnostics to ensure optimal performance of production machinery.
  • Program and modify ladder logic using Allen-Bradley PLCs for various process control applications.
  • Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, and flow sensors.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to improve automation efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records of service activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards, especially within regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals.

Education:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field (required)
  • Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering (preferred)
