Job Summary and Qualifications

The Throughput Manager manages patient flow through the hospital and supports clinical coordination of care across the continuum. Responsibilities will include developing length of stay (LOS) and resource reduction strategies, as well as capitalizing on facility best practices. The manager will also ensure that improvement opportunities are appropriately channeled to effect change, coordinate compliance initiatives with outside agencies, intervene with the hospitalists and PCPs to address and resolve issues related to facility utilization and patient flow process and facilitate strong working relationship between caregivers, case management, and admitting departments to promote effective utilization management through coordination of efforts involving patient flow. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri 
• Bachelor‘s Degree in Nursing
• 1+ year in a leadership role preferred

We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Research Psychiatric Center is a 95+ bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare. We treat adolescents, adults, and senior adults for emotional disorders, mental illness, and substance abuse.
