Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounting/Administrative Clerk will be responsible for handling all aspects of bookkeeping, including vendor invoice posting and payment, customer invoice entry, processing timecards and payroll, and other administrative tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Manage all bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Vendor Invoice Posting and Payment: Post vendor invoices and process payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Customer Invoice Entry: Enter customer invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely billing.
  • Timecards and Payroll Processing: Process employee timecards and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Expense Tracking: Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the finance department and other teams as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and employees regarding financial matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in construction or related industry.
  • Experience with Sage 100 Contractor a plus
